Ribbons for Research™ is a philanthropic program of Healthcare Communications Group (HCG) founded in 2007 to bring awareness to various medical causes around the globe. Ribbons for Research™ makes contributions directly to medical research organizations that are on the frontline of finding cures for some of the world’s deadliest diseases.
Ribbons for Research™ was officially launched at the 2007 Drug Information Association (DIA) annual conference in Atlanta (download press release). The program was enthusiastically received by conference attendees who were able to select a health research organization dear to them. HCG vowed to make a charitable contribution in their name, in lieu of traditional tradeshow giveaway items. Attendees also received awareness ribbons and posted personal messages on a tribute board on the Ribbons for Research™ Memory Wall at HCG’s booth.
